With Democrats threatening to remove Pete Hegseth if they regain control of the House, the Defense Secretary may have reason to be trembling this Halloween.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is making Hegseth’s removal a priority if Democrats regain control of the House in November, warning that Trump should remove Hegseth himself or Democrats will address the situation.
What’s the situation, you might ask. Calling Hegseth “deeply unqualified,” Jeffries promised to run Hegseth out of town if Democrats take the majority. Hegseth has faced intense criticism for his management of the Pentagon and for mishandling the war with Iran. This after his Signal gate controversy when Hegseth used his personal phone and the Signal Messenger app to discuss official military business.
